Cecilia hosted a Thai cooking evening last week, making that our 4th meeting of Gourmet Friends. Cecilia and her hubby Randy learned how to cook Thai, while spending several weeks there years ago. It has always been a treat for me to have her cook Tom Ka soup and yellow curry. Yummy, I love it. Thai has such unique fragrant tastes, and several things, including a lot of love, went into these delicious dishes! Joy and Bobette worked on the Papaya salad, while Keelee, Emily and I worked at making yellow curry with tofu, and pad cee ew with chicken. Cecilia was all over, tending to Rowan (her cute lil' one) and making sure we didn't create a disaster in her kitchen. The food was divine, and the company even better! We even roped Bobette, the newest member of Gourmet Friends, into doing the next gathering. She'll be hosting sometime in early November and sharing some unique side dishes and fixin's to go with your Thanksgiving bird! I love having good food and great conversation with such smart, amazing, talented gals!
Cheers to us!
